In Barcelona not to be missed by animal lovers both young and old, Barcelona zoo is located in the grounds of the Parc de la Ciutadella, close to the sea and Estacion francia.
The zoo ranks among the top zoos in Spain. The enclosures are of open construction, allowing you to almost touch the animals. There is a infant zoo where children can be introduced to various animals. The unique feature of the zoo is the famous albino gorilla, Snowflake, the only one in captivity in the whole world. The opening times vary throughout the year but as a rough guide the zoo is open from 10am until 5pm in the winter and 9.30am to 7.30pm in the summer.
How to get there: Metro: Barceloneta (L4) or Marina and Arc de Triomf (L1)
